Melania Trump Skips Stepdaughter Tiffany's Baby Shower in Miami, Which Was Hosted by Ivanka (Exclusive) (2025)

President Donald Trump’s younger daughter, Tiffany Trump, celebrated her baby shower on Sunday, April 6, with the help of some of the important women in her family.

Tiffany, 31, is currently expecting her first child with husband Michael Boulos. After their Peter Rabbit-themed shower, the couple publicly revealed that they are having a baby boy.

Tiffany’s older half-sister, Ivanka Trump, hosted the event in Miami, with a Florida source telling PEOPLE that the two have a “close relationship.”

However, PEOPLE confirms that neither Tiffany’s father nor her stepmother, first lady Melania Trump, were present at the celebration — a detail that the source says isn't "surprising."

The source adds that there wasn't “any reason” for Melania to attend Tiffany’s shower, noting that the first lady — who began dating Donald when Tiffany was about 5 — “has her own schedule, even on weekends."

PEOPLE is told that Melania was busy with her 19-year-old son, Barron Trump, over the weekend.

Marla Maples, Tiffany’s mother and President Trump’s second wife, attended the event as expected and shared family photos from the occasion.

“A beautiful day celebrating my daughter Tiffany’s 1st baby shower surrounded by love, family, and dear friends,” the first-time grandmother wrote on Instagram. “Thank you, Ivanka, for hosting such a stunning and heartfelt gathering — a memory we’ll cherish forever.”

Other Trump significant others were in attendance, too, including Eric Trump’s wife, Lara Trump, and Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend, Bettina Anderson.

Tiffany even received a shoutout from Don Jr.’s recent ex, Kimberly Guilfoyle, who wrote “You look beautiful mama!” on her Instagram post from the big day.

PEOPLE’s source says that “Tiffany was so excited and is truly glowing in her excitement to be a mom."

Though the shower appeared to be a primarily-for-women gathering, the president was mere miles away during the event. Trump spent a long weekend in both Miami and at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, golfing and hosting fundraiser events during the LIV Golf tournament.

President Trump faced blowback for the trip from members of Congress this week, but not for missing out on a family event. Instead, Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett noted that the trip was one of the frequent golf weekends that have so far cost taxpayers about $30 million in the first three months of Trump’s second presidential term.

“He has decided that he wanted to play games while the rest of us are really trying to make sure that we can serve the American people,” she accused during a DOGE subcommittee hearing on Wednesday.
